Habitat is finishing its 14th home in Novemb 2024.

• The percentage of people without access to decent, stable housing is rising.

• Increasing the housing supply across the globe is essential.

• If we are to succeed in the fight against poverty, we must support the expansion of

housing both as policy and as practice.

• In 2020 it was estimated the world insecure housing population will reach almost 1

billion.

Lack of clean water and sanitation claim the lives of more than 1.8 million young

children every year.

• Donations used to fund the next home.

 • Muscatine County services’s over 1,000 veterans.

• We use this fund to make specific repairs to veteran homes to keep them in their

homes longer and keep them safe.

• This fund will also rehab homes and place veteranswho need housing.

 • Habitat’s Aging in Place program enables older adults on a budget to age safely

in their homes and communities. We provide personalized home repair and social

services.

 • Helping our Teachers, aka essential workers, build affordable places to call home

is an important part of Muscatine County Habitat for Humanity’s mission. We support

the Muscatine School District’s challenge to recruit and retain valuable Teachers.

 • Habitat for Humanity staff provides families ongoing support through financial

literacy and homeowner education.

• Getting your keys to your new build isn’t where the journey ends. When not on

location habitat staff are creating community partnerships with donors, volunteers,

and community members. Your support allows us space to steward and sustain that

work. We use these donations for staffing and office expenses.
